Antler is seeking an exceptional leader to join as Associate Partner in Sydney, leading investment activities across Sydney and New South Wales. You will report to a General Partner and serve as the primary leader for Antler's Residency founders in Sydney, driving investment origination and backing outlier founders at the earliest stage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead investment origination across Sydney and NSW to identify and support exceptional early-stage founders
- Serve as primary leader for Antler's Residency program founders in Sydney
- Develop and deliver portfolio strategy to achieve significant outcomes
- Drive post-investment success as lead for selected portfolio companies
- Make investment decisions as a voting member of the Investment Committee
- Participate in Antler's global partnership group with material fund carry exposure
- Build and maintain a culture of team, ambition, and action bias
You will manage a team of 11 employees across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The role offers the opportunity to break into VC leadership and back the best founders in Australia while being part of building the next wave of fast-growing technology companies.
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Tier 1 VC-backed startups, VC firms, or as a founder who raised VC
- Demonstrated elite achievement in education, sports, or career
- Strong technical and AI depth with respect in product, engineering, and technology conversations
- Active network of Tier 1 founders, investors, and operators across Australia
- Clear understanding of capital raising and deployment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to deliver difficult messages with empathy
- Sydney-based
Preferred: Early-stage investment experience and/or founder background.
