Salary: USD 87,188 - 114,434 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking an Associate, Network Contracting & Services to negotiate and manage healthcare provider contracts across the Texas and West region. This hybrid role is based in the field, requiring candidates to reside in Arizona, Missouri, or Texas, with work split between a home office and frequent local travel for provider meetings.
You will report to the Director, Network Contracting & Services and be responsible for building and maintaining robust provider networks in assigned markets. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts with hospitals, health systems, and individual providers; analyzing provider performance and reimbursement rates; supporting network growth and recruitment efforts; resolving provider issues; and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. You will serve as a subject matter expert to a small team of contracting specialists, providing mentorship and guidance while fostering a collaborative environment.
The role requires implementing contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy and cost management objectives, conducting comprehensive contract reviews, utilizing data analytics to inform negotiation decisions, and monitoring assigned networks for compliance. You will collaborate cross-functionally with provider services teams on education and communication initiatives, and support the design and execution of local network strategy.
Required qualifications include 3+ years in healthcare client management, consulting, provider contracting, or operations; 2+ years supporting provider network strategy and contract negotiation; 1+ year running financial analyses on markets or product lines; and 1+ year organizing large datasets such as claim files and provider rosters. An Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience is a bonus.
