Oscar Health is seeking an Associate to join the Network Contracting & Services team based in New York City. This role is central to building and maintaining Oscar's robust healthcare provider network while optimizing costs and ensuring quality care access. You will manage contracts with key healthcare providers including hospital systems and individual provider groups across assigned markets/regions. Core responsibilities include negotiating provider contracts with favorable terms, conducting comprehensive contract reviews and analyses, and identifying optimization opportunities. You'll leverage data analytics on provider financial performance and competitive strategies to inform negotiation decisions and support strategic contracting initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with provider services teams on network education, communication, and servicing. You'll monitor assigned networks for compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements, developing corrective action plans as needed. You'll also support network growth and recruitment efforts by engaging prospective providers, resolving provider issues, and executing local network strategy. Reporting to the Senior Director of Network Contracting & Services, you'll work cross-functionally with Market Leaders and network leadership to align contracting strategies with company objectives around network adequacy, development, and cost management. The position requires meeting defined metrics and SLAs for provider outreach and contract completion. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in-office per week at the NYC headquarters, with Thursdays as a mandatory in-office day for team meetings and collaboration. Required qualifications: 3+ years in healthcare client management, consulting, provider contracting, or healthcare operations; 2+ years supporting provider network strategy and contract negotiation; 1+ years running financial analyses on markets/product lines; 1+ years organizing large datasets like claims and provider rosters. An Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience is a bonus.
