Bumble is seeking an Associate Manager, Social Media to lead content creation and community engagement across the brand's social channels. Reporting to the Associate Director of Social Media, you'll work closely with the Social Media Manager on day-to-day execution of Bumble's presence on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
You'll be responsible for creating platform-native short-form video content, capturing social-first photo and video at events and activations, and editing content using tools like CapCut. This is a hands-on role where you'll be comfortable appearing on camera, approaching people to participate in content, and developing instincts for what resonates on social platforms. You'll stay deeply tapped into internet culture, dating trends, and Gen Z behavior to surface emerging opportunities and develop a strategic point of view on cultural moments relevant to Bumble.
You'll monitor content performance across channels, identify patterns in what works, and use analytics to inform future creative direction. You'll also manage the social content calendar, coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Creative, Product Marketing, PR, Partnerships, Member Love) and external partners (creators, agencies), and ensure all content aligns with Bumble's brand identity and tone of voice.
The role requires flexibility to attend events and activations outside traditional working hours, including evenings and weekends, and occasional travel. While there is desk work, this is fundamentally a hands-on role requiring you to be out in the world capturing timely moments and content.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, community management, content creation, or related field (including internships or freelance work)
- Strong instincts for TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms; understanding of how people actually communicate on them
- Comfortable being on camera and appearing in Bumble content
- Ability to capture engaging content on iPhone without formal production setup
- Experience with short-form video editing or eagerness to develop skills
- Comfortable approaching and engaging new people in real-world content capture environments
- Interest in internet culture, dating and relationships, entertainment, and creators
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong writing skills and curiosity about content performance drivers
- Proactive, collaborative, and excited to develop creative point of view
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality before content goes live
