Salary: USD 126,000 - 234,000 / annual
DTX Pharma (a Novartis Company) seeks an Associate Director of Patient Advocacy for Neuroscience and Renal therapeutic areas. This role bridges patient communities and the organization, translating patient insights into business strategy and operational improvements.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strategic relationships with patient organizations and disease communities; identifying collaboration opportunities that educate patients, mobilize care-seeking behavior, and amplify patient voice to healthcare providers, policymakers, and payers; executing integrated advocacy strategies aligned to business priorities; ensuring patient insights inform launch and growth strategies across corporate affairs and cross-functional teams; monitoring policy and environmental factors affecting operations; leveraging AI tools for advocacy planning and insights; and managing budgets and agency partnerships for optimal ROI.
The role requires deep understanding of patient and care partner experiences, unmet needs, and the ability to drive measurable business outcomes. Success is evaluated through achievement of therapeutic area objectives, cross-functional alignment, stakeholder feedback, and demonstrated thought leadership and impact with patient organizations.
Required: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in patient advocacy, healthcare, or pharmaceutical settings (rare disease experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to build trust with patient organizations and stakeholders, commercial launch experience, agency partner management, and crisis/issues management skills are highly valued.
Position is hybrid, requiring 3 days/week in the East Hanover, NJ office. Relocation support is not available; candidates must be local or able to commute. No visa sponsorship.
