The Business Operations & Analytics team is a central function embedded across business units, comprising former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive data-informed decision-making across product, growth, tech, and operations. The team is hiring 2-3 people to support growth marketing, product development, AI & automation, and strategic partnerships.
In this role, you will be embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas and own the analytical function end-to-end. Your responsibilities include:
- Define the right problems: Understand what business question an analysis answers and what decision it informs. Push back if the question is flawed.
- Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface data insights that move your team's key metrics.
- Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to counterparts in product, growth, finance, or operations, explain what's happening and why, and recommend next steps.
The culture emphasizes no slides (no 3am deck reformatting), no corporate fluff, and hands-on execution. You will surface analytical insights, drive decisions, and see them through end-to-end. The team values first-principles thinking, direct communication, and ownership mentality.
Tools used: SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, GitHub.

- Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact
- Clear, persuasive communicator who can influence decisions at the leadership level
- First-principles thinker who breaks ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses before touching data
- Comfortable with SQL or Python
- Direct communicator who can walk skeptical stakeholders through complex findings and get buy-in quickly
- Owner mentality; acts like your name is on the door
