Salary: USD 120,000 - 125,000 / annual
SRS Acquiom is a Denver-based platform and services company that helps deal parties manage complex M&A and loan agency transactions more efficiently. The company has supported over 11,500 transactions globally since 2007 and operates offices across North America and Europe.
The M&A Transactional Group comprises attorneys who draft, review, negotiate, and finalize engagement documentation for the shareholder representative and escrow/payments business lines. As an Associate Attorney (M&A Counsel), you will be assigned to work on deals where SRS Acquiom provides shareholder representative or financial services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Primary responsibility for a pro rata share of deals
- Coordinate with the deal team (Business Development Representatives, Relationship Managers, Relationship Associates) and facilitate escalations of compromises or unique responsibilities
- Interface with deal clients and their counsel
- Review, negotiate, and finalize deal documents including acquisition agreements, SRS engagement letters, escrow agreements, paying agent agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other related transactional agreements
- Maintain expertise in M&A market terms and complete knowledge of SRS Acquiom's approved procedures and guidance for deal documents
- Assist with maintaining and updating intake procedures and training new intake attorneys
- Provide support to business development and relationship management staff as appropriate
- Shepherd deals through to closing
Location: Hybrid or fully remote within the Continental United States. Candidates within a 20-mile radius of the downtown Denver office will be classified as hybrid (1 day/week in office starting September 2026, increasing to 2 days/week starting February 2027). Candidates outside this radius will be fully remote with required in-person visits to Denver headquarters approximately three times per year.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- J.D. from a nationally ranked, accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Licensed to practice law in at least one state
- 1-2 years of legal experience
- Excellent, prompt, and friendly customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, dynamic projects/deals
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines and solve problems when unexpected issues arise
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for working on deals
- Ability to quickly yet carefully review and understand complex agreements
