Wolt is a global delivery platform operating in over 500 cities across 30 countries, now part of the DoorDash family. This Associate Operations Manager role is central to Wolt's supply strategy in Central Europe, managing courier activation and acquisition across multiple markets.
You will lead a team of 3 and own two critical supply KPIs: undersupplied hours (UH%) and GOV loss, reported weekly to senior leadership. You manage a multi-million euro budget across activation and acquisition levers. Your responsibilities span intraday activation strategy—managing surge pricing, radius adjustments, and day-to-day operations to match courier supply to demand hour by hour—and the full courier acquisition function including job boards, application attainment, reactivation campaigns, and sign-ups.
Key responsibilities include owning Central's intraday activation strategy for special events and demand spikes (holidays, weather events, local events); leading and mentoring your team while managing budget allocation across activation and acquisition; planning and executing mobilizer strategies ahead of demand surges; partnering with Support, Product, and Global Delivery Ops to build scalable tools and processes; and serving as the primary escalation point to senior leadership on supply health, translating complex operational trade-offs into clear, actionable recommendations.
You will work under time pressure during weather events and special events, coordinating across all Central markets to keep courier supply ahead of demand both in the moment and over the medium term.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record managing complex, data-driven operations across multiple markets, ideally in courier/gig supply, logistics, or marketplace operations
- Comfortable owning hard KPIs (UH%, GOV loss) and being accountable for results, not just reporting
- Experience leading and developing a small team (3 direct reports)
- Strong budget ownership experience—able to allocate and defend multi-million euro spend across activation and acquisition levers
- Excellent ability to distill complex operational trade-offs into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
- Comfortable working under time pressure during weather events, special events, and demand spikes
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
