Salary: USD 95,000 - 100,000 / annual

Marie Claire, part of Future (a global specialist media company), is seeking an Art Director to lead the brand's visual identity across print, digital, and social platforms. Reporting to the VP of Creative, you will oversee and manage Marie Claire's Art team, providing creative direction and guidance on all visual projects. Key responsibilities include: - Manage and mentor the Art team, offering direction and support across all projects - Oversee the creative direction for two print issues annually, from initial editorial conversations through picture research, layout design, and final execution - Present mood boards and visual approaches to ensure the strongest creative direction for each brief - Collaborate with production teams to ensure all assets meet specifications and deadlines - Work with the Social team to design and approve social-first graphics for cross-platform distribution - Conceptualize creative directions for cover stories, developing visual approaches and mood boards for photoshoots - Oversee visual execution on set, ensuring creative direction is maintained throughout shoots - Develop bespoke landing pages for digital issues and special programming - Partner closely with editorial desks to understand visual objectives and manage multiple priorities simultaneously - Ensure all creative work follows editorial review and approval processes, incorporating feedback from the Editor-in-Chief and relevant editors This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic creative direction with day-to-day asset creation across print, digital, social, and newsletters. Requirements: - 7+ years of relevant design and creative direction experience - Demonstrated experience working on photoshoots and set production - Proven experience creating social media assets and working on print magazines - Outstanding portfolio showcasing excellent design work and creative vision - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Meticulous attention to detail combined with big-picture strategic thinking - Proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign - Willingness to work within editorial CMS platforms
