Wolt Market is Wolt's grocery delivery operation, operating in over 500 cities across 30 countries. As Area Manager, you will oversee end-to-end store operations for a group of 4–5 stores in Tallinn and Tartu, managing Store Managers and Store Team Leads while driving operational excellence across productivity, quality, customer experience, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end store operations from fulfillment through delivery across your store group
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, customer experience, and safety
- Build and maintain an ambitious, motivated team; hire and train new store leaders
- Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to store leaders and associates to optimize operations and ensure excellence
- Create shift schedules, quality initiatives, and process improvements to help store leaders meet and exceed targets
- Review demand forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet store and country objectives
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams (inventory, commercial, product) on workforce management, compliance, and operational optimization
- Lead change initiatives and drive accountability for operational metrics
Requirements:
- Operations management experience in retail, distribution, or platform economy environments
- Strong analytical skills; Excel proficiency highly recommended
- Proven experience leading teams in store or similar operational settings
- Full professional proficiency in English and Estonian
- Ability to think and act fast operationally with attention to detail
- Hands-on, proactive, practical, pragmatic approach with resilience for change
