Reach Logistics, a Pattern company, is a global eCommerce logistics and strategy company partnering with major brands to distribute products on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and other platforms. The company operates 7 warehouses across 5 countries, ships 60M units annually, and employs over 1,700 people across 18 global locations.
As Area Manager at the Hebron, KY warehouse, you will lead a team of supervisors and warehouse staff of up to 220 people on your assigned shift (Sunday–Wednesday, 7pm–5:30am). You will partner directly with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Operations Managers to meet productivity, quality, safety, and on-time shipping targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coaching supervisors and warehouse associates to achieve performance metrics
- Shift planning and labor allocation based on daily goals and order volumes
- Facilitating communication between shifts to ensure alignment on common objectives
- Providing direction to supervisors and leads on policy and procedure updates
- Managing attendance, timecards, and progressive discipline
- Training and coaching associates on labeling and packaging procedures
- Resolving employee relations matters in collaboration with HR
- Monitoring productivity and recommending improvements to exceed metrics
- Ensuring safety compliance by teaching and exemplifying safety guidelines
- Managing leads to support team members through training and problem-solving
- Real-time problem-solving using basic math and Warehouse Management Software
- Maintaining professional workplace behavior and upholding company policies
- Flexible scheduling, including coverage outside normal hours when needed
The role requires standing/walking 8–10 hours per shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, pallet jack operation, and overtime during peak season (25–30% of the time).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of operations experience in warehouse/distribution or logistics
- 3–5 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a distribution center or warehouse environment
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Software
- Effective communication skills with associates, management, and executives
- Prior experience creating and executing shift plans
- Understanding of basic math and Excel formulas
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google Suite
- Knowledge of Workday preferred
- Ability to follow procedures, practice sound judgment, and maintain fair, consistent management
- Comfortable working with diverse employee demographics
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexible mindset and problem-solving orientation
