Salary: USD 150,000 - 280,000 / annual
DualEntry is building an AI-native ERP platform that automates accounting workflows from data entry to close. The company has raised $100M+ from top-tier VCs (Lightspeed, Khosla, Google Ventures) and serves customers ranging from $5M ARR startups to publicly traded enterprises.
As an Applied Engineer, you will embed directly on named customer projects, owning the full lifecycle from discovery and design through build, deployment, and verification. Your core responsibilities include:
• Building migration and integration pipelines using Temporal that are idempotent, resumable, and auditable
• Modeling and loading customer accounting data into Postgres correctly, including reconciliation against existing systems
• Creating internal tooling to eliminate recurring manual work
• Identifying patterns from customer work and feeding them back into the core product for productization
• Compressing the timeline from customer request to shipped solution
You'll work in a high-trust, high-speed environment where your feedback directly shapes product direction. The team values shipping velocity, customer empathy, and technical depth.
Required experience: 5+ years shipping production full-stack software end-to-end and unsupervised. Strong proficiency in Django/DRF and Postgres (beyond ORM defaults—you read query plans and run migrations on live data). Next.js and React with TypeScript. Durable workflow experience (Temporal preferred, Celery acceptable). Direct customer exposure in past roles—you've scoped problems with customers and shipped against them. Experience with third-party APIs, webhooks, rate limits, and reconciling disagreeing systems.
Nice-to-have: accounting/ERP/fintech domain knowledge (double-entry bookkeeping, chart of accounts, close processes, AP/AR, revenue recognition). Prior forward-deployed or applied engineering experience. Good judgment about when to ship a script versus build a system.
Compensation: base salary $150,000–$280,000 USD, equity $50,000–$80,000. Remote-first with home internet/co-working support, flexible PTO (27 days), unlimited AI token usage, learning budget, visa sponsorship, and in-person team meetups.
