Mistral AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to drive the adoption and deployment of its AI products with enterprise customers. You will be part of the Applied AI Engineering team, working across the full customer lifecycle from pre-sale through post-implementation.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with researchers, AI engineers, and product engineers to integrate Mistral's cutting-edge AI models into clients' software products. You'll design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications with seamless front-end and back-end integration. You'll work directly with customers to develop complex use cases, provide technical guidance, and ensure production-ready implementations. You'll also partner with the product and science teams to refine capabilities based on customer feedback.
You should have 2+ years as a technical individual contributor working on cutting-edge technologies. Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript is essential, along with hands-on experience with front-end frameworks (React, NextJS, VueJS) and back-end technologies (NodeJS). You'll need a solid grasp of software development fundamentals including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Excellent communication skills are critical—you must explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ideally, you have experience with LLM/GenAI models, open-source contributions, and prior roles as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is required. Fluency in English is mandatory.
