Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to serve as a technical advisor to enterprise customers deploying Claude API into their products. You will work at the intersection of customer success and product engineering, guiding digital-native businesses through technical discovery, architecture design, and production deployment of LLM-powered applications.
Key responsibilities include: acting as a specialist technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle from discovery to deployment; partnering with account executives and solutions architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions; influencing architecture decisions by developing customized pilots, prototypes, and evaluation frameworks; leading hands-on technical workshops and code reviews with customer engineering teams; identifying common design patterns and contributing insights back to Anthropic's product and engineering teams; creating scalable documentation on LLM prompting, evaluation, agentic systems, and architecture techniques; maintaining expertise in latest LLM capabilities and AI product development stacks; occasional travel to customer sites for workshops and relationship building; and representing Anthropic at conferences and through speaking engagements, blog posts, and white papers.
You should have 4+ years in technical roles such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Software Engineer, or Technical Product Manager, with a strong desire to work closely with customers.
