As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll translate business problems into AI-driven solutions, working closely with customers and internal teams. You'll be hands-on implementing AI workflows, configuring model behavior, and bridging the gap between model capabilities and real-world impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing workflows and configuring model behavior for customer solutions
- Building integrations between AI logic and deterministic building blocks
- Collaborating with platform and research teams to identify and surface platform-level improvements
- Working with production systems and real-time applications
You'll need a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, plus 4+ years in software engineering, data science, machine learning, or research (including academic experience). Required skills: production-grade Python or TypeScript; experience building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data; familiarity with vector databases and RAG-like architectures; prompt design and evaluation workflows; ability to rapidly understand complex domains and implement research papers; comfort with production systems.
Nice-to-haves include a Master's or PhD in AI/CS; experience with multi-agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, Google ADK) and patterns like ReAct and self-reflection; knowledge of LLM-native metrics and optimization; background in data pipelines, APIs, or system integrations; enterprise/B2B customer experience; startup environment experience.
