Jito Labs is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to be the first dedicated AI engineer on the team. The company has already demonstrated significant productivity gains from AI integration within its engineering function, and this role exists to capture similar gains across the entire organization.
Jito builds the market layer of Solana, operating the validator client behind a majority of the network's stake and managing products including JitoSOL, BAM, and JTX. The company is approximately 40 people with strong product-market fit.
In this role, you will identify and solve high-impact workflow problems across Operations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Business Development, and Product teams. Each of these functions has well-understood, expensive problems that a strong engineer could solve in a week—problems that currently sit unowned or are picked up as side work. You will have a company-wide mandate from day one to systematically address these inefficiencies.
As the first dedicated AI engineer, you will have high ownership and drive significant technical decisions while shaping the roadmap. The team values fast execution and rapid iteration based on real-world feedback, with a high quality bar where details matter. You will work in a small, high-performing team with proven product-market fit where every team member drives meaningful impact.
