Cohere is a leading enterprise AI company building cutting-edge foundation models and end-to-end products for businesses. This role focuses on making AI agents and automations genuinely useful in real enterprise workflows through North, Cohere's AI workspace platform.
You will build AI-powered product experiences that help users create, configure, evaluate, and improve workflows. Key responsibilities include designing and shipping new interfaces for human-AI collaboration (workflow builders, proactive assistants, review flows), building eval and observability systems to measure AI experience success in production, and improving AI reliability through product design, prompting, context construction, and feedback loops.
You'll turn production failures and user feedback into better product behavior, stronger eval suites, and signals for modeling teams. You'll work closely with modelling, product, design, and customer teams to define success metrics for specific workflows and ship measurable improvements. Example problems include helping users build AI automations from natural language, creating evals for multi-step agent workflows, adding proactive intelligence to the product, and creating interfaces that make agent behavior easier to inspect and steer.
Ideal candidates have shipped LLM-powered or agent-powered product experiences into production and improved them based on real-world feedback. You're a strong software engineer comfortable working across backend systems, user-facing product, data, evals, and model behavior. You think in terms of user outcomes and system behavior, enjoy debugging messy real-world failures, and have strong product taste. You own ambiguous problems end-to-end and work across system boundaries to ship genuinely useful solutions.
Cohere is remote-friendly with offices in Toronto, London, NYC, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin, and Seoul.
