Salary: USD 240,000 - 315,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect for its Public Sector team. In this pre-sales technical role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to systems integrators, startups, and government technology companies, helping them understand Claude's capabilities and successfully integrate it into their technology stacks.
You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to guide customers through their Claude adoption journey—from initial technical discovery through successful deployment. Your responsibilities include:
• Partnering with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions aligned with business objectives
• Serving as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers throughout their Claude adoption journey, coordinating internally across teams to drive success
• Supporting customers building with Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise
• Creating and delivering compelling technical content for diverse audiences, from engineering deep dives to executive business-value conversations
• Guiding technical architecture decisions and helping customers integrate Claude into existing technology stacks
• Helping customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for their specific use cases
• Identifying common integration patterns and contributing insights to Product and Engineering teams
• Traveling frequently to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building
• Maintaining strong knowledge of the latest LLM capabilities and implementation patterns
You will combine deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to architect innovative LLM solutions addressing complex mission challenges while maintaining high standards for safety and reliability.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager
• US Secret Clearance preferred for working with defense tech customers
• Prior work in government, government contracting, or government tech preferred
• Experience navigating complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders
• Exceptional ability to build relationships with and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders including C-suite executives, engineering & IT teams
• Strong technical communication skills with ability to translate customer requirements between technical and business stakeholders
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems
• Familiarity with Python
• Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools or background in machine learning or data science
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey complicated topics in easily understandable terms
• Passion for thinking creatively about how to use technology in a way that is safe and beneficial
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
