Alogent is a market leader in deposit automation solutions for major financial institutions worldwide, with over 20 years of experience. The Application Support Engineer role involves working directly with customers to resolve technical and operational issues related to Alogent's products. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week on-site at the Peachtree Corners, GA headquarters. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining client relationships, providing technical customer service using case tracking systems, and coordinating complex troubleshooting efforts between clients, engineering, development, and operations teams. You will reproduce reported software bugs, interface with development resources to diagnose non-routine problems, and implement remedial procedures. The role also involves installing and upgrading software releases in test and production environments, resolving deployment issues, identifying workarounds, and documenting software defects for development teams. Additional duties include holding client meetings, creating knowledge base and training articles, and supporting customer requests outside business hours on an on-call rotational schedule. You will be expected to understand and meet contractual support commitments and perform related duties as directed. Required qualifications include 3+ years in a technical application support role, experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases, web applications hosted in IIS, and bash scripting/terminal environments like Cygwin or PowerShell. Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP requests with WCF/SOAP/XML, .NET application structure, C#/.NET programming experience, platform performance monitoring, familiarity with banking/credit union environments, and experience supporting financial core products like Episys or Correlation. A technical degree or equivalent experience is required.
