As an Application Security Engineer, you will own and lead Glean's vulnerability management lifecycle, ensuring the entire technology stack remains free from known CVEs and security threats. This is a high-impact role focused on proactive security hardening across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead the vulnerability management charter, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from identification through remediation
• Implement and maintain secure base OS images, ensuring all underlying systems are hardened against security threats
• Continuously scan, monitor, and patch open-source software (OSS) dependencies to mitigate supply chain risks
• Research and evaluate trusted security solutions (e.g., Google's Assured Open Source Software) and drive adoption
• Integrate state-of-the-art SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning tools into the CI/CD pipeline
• Work closely with engineering teams to detect and remediate vulnerabilities early in the development process
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new security technologies and processes to enhance infrastructure protection
• Drive adoption of security best practices across the organization
You will be responsible for establishing security standards, building scalable processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed security into Glean's development workflow.
