Apple Pay and Apple Wallet continue to grow and become integral to daily consumer life. The Wallet, Payments and Commerce (WPC) team is seeking an Apple Pay eCommerce Merchant Specialist to initiate and actively engage with potential e-commerce merchants to drive Apple Pay acceptance and enable best-in-class integration on their digital channels (web and app).
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring collaborative communication with external partners (merchants and strategic partners) and internal teams (Business Development, Product, Operations). You will be responsible for sourcing new merchant opportunities through outreach, managing merchants through the full Apple Pay enablement cycle from discovery through launch, and supporting post-go-live growth initiatives including UX audits and conversion optimization. Key responsibilities include identifying key players, managing end-to-end enablement with merchants and payment partners, establishing and maintaining business relationships, onboarding merchants with Technical Specialists, building communication strategies to evangelize Apple Pay, providing pipeline and KPI updates to leadership, and maintaining merchant contacts in the internal CRM system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Spanish or Italian language fluency (reading, writing, speaking) with high English proficiency
- Excellent communication skills across email, phone, and in-person channels with ability to navigate large complex organizations
- Self-driven, motivated professional with strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Results-oriented with ability to maintain momentum through short, medium, and long sales cycles
- Proven results in a quota-carrying role with experience in pipeline management and sales forecasting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to manage ambiguity and attention to detail
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of sales/business development experience in corporate environment
- Preferred: Solid understanding of retail, e-commerce, and/or payment industries
