Curve Dental is seeking an API Support Developer to provide technically-focused support to customers using their external API while contributing to API improvements, updates, and documentation. This hybrid role combines customer-facing technical support with product development contributions. You will work with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure API integration projects succeed. The role involves troubleshooting customer issues, reviewing and improving API documentation, and identifying opportunities to enhance the API platform. You'll interface with customers at various technical levels while also contributing code improvements and feature enhancements. Curve Dental is a cloud-based, all-in-one dental practice management platform serving dental professionals and practices across the US and Canada. The platform includes imaging, scheduling, billing, patient engagement, and a mobile app. The API backend is built on C#/.NET and PHP services. This is a remote position based out of Calgary, Alberta, though in-person availability for interviews and post-interview meetings will be required. **Requirements:** - BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent) - 1+ years in a customer service role such as help desk or technical support - 1+ years of professional software development experience in C#/.NET, or a comparable language such as Java - Intermediate SQL and relational database skills (queries, schema design, transactions, production-safe data migrations) - Experience writing secure code in a data-sensitive or regulated environment (PHI, PII, or financial data) - Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code or Copilot) with critical evaluation of output **Preferred Experience:** - Technical writing experience - SQL and relational database expertise - Agile development methodologies, unit testing (xUnit/NUnit), and code reviews - Exposure to healthcare or other regulated data environments
