As an Android Engineer, you'll join the Mobile Engineering group to build best-in-class experiences for sellers. You'll take ownership of well-defined features throughout the development lifecycle, from conception through release and iteration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to build high-quality customer experiences
- Designing, building, and shipping Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Contributing to an in-house Server-Driven UI framework to accelerate feature delivery
- Supporting mobile infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Google Play deployment, and automated UI testing
- Writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participating in code reviews
- Ensuring attention to UI detail, accessibility, and overall app experience
- Understanding backend systems and APIs powering the app
- Monitoring released features and resolving issues
- Contributing to engineering standards across the Mobile Engineering group
Required experience: commercial Android development, strong Kotlin knowledge, modern Android development practices, Jetpack Compose experience or willingness to develop it, understanding of mobile development principles and testing, collaborative product team experience, and clear communication skills.
Desirable: Server-Driven UI experience, A/B testing, CI/CD and automated testing exposure, ML/AI integration, backend or full-stack development, and end-to-end feature ownership.
