Taptap Send is a high-growth fintech company moving billions of dollars monthly across six continents, operating in cards, wallets, B2B payments, institutional payments, and emerging markets. You will join as an Analytics Engineer to own the data infrastructure and reporting that the business depends on.
In this role, you will:
- Own external reporting: deliver datasets for month-end close and regulatory reporting on schedule, every cycle. Your work directly supports Finance, Compliance, and Treasury operations.
- Automate manual processes: transform multi-day manual workflows into scheduled pipelines, runbooks, and dbt models, ensuring work is done once reliably.
- Build ahead of launches: create reports and reconciliations as new products and markets go live, proactively rather than reactively.
- Serve as first-line support for data requests: design models that enable stakeholders and AI agents to self-serve answers to recurring questions.
- Maintain data integrity: implement tests, checks, and alerts to catch reconciliation breaks and stale data before they become incidents.
- Collaborate and mentor: peer-review code and participate in weekly team meetups to share knowledge.
The company emphasizes rapid growth and learning. You'll move from querying data to designing systems, working across Finance, Product, Compliance, Fraud, and Partner Operations. Your work directly impacts auditors, regulators, and the millions of families who rely on affordable remittance services.
Requirements:
- 1–2+ years in a data or analytics role
- Technical or quantitative degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong SQL skills and experience handling messy, complex data
- Some experience automating repetitive work (scripts, scheduled jobs)
- Strong sense of ownership: proactively fix broken or ownerless work and prevent recurrence
- Reliability under deadlines, willingness to tackle any task size, comfort engaging stakeholders
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to have: startup or scale-up experience, Python or R, dbt, Looker or Mode, or a personal project built to solve a manual problem.
