Diagram Ventures is a venture builder and early-stage investor focused on Fintech and ClimateTech. Since 2016, they have raised over $400M and launched or invested in 35+ companies, backed by an ecosystem of 200+ investors including 60+ entrepreneurs with exits exceeding $15B.
You will join as an Analyst/Associate in Venture Creation, reporting to the ClimateTech Venture Creation Principal. This role is central to conceiving, launching, and scaling new ClimateTech ventures from 0-1.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop investment theses and identify opportunity areas in ClimateTech
- Generate and pitch new venture ideas to partners and potential founders
- Conduct user research, market sizing, competitive analysis, and business model evaluation
- Create pitch decks and investment memos
- Own pre-seed venture workplans: secure pilot customers, build MVPs with engineering partners, establish early partnerships
- Vet founders, match teams with ideas, and build founder relationships
- Contribute to community building through events and conferences
You should have:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience: early-stage VC (Seed/Series A), tech startups (product, design, engineering), consulting on tech products, or venture studio experience
- Proven entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership and self-starter mentality
- Strong analytical skills: financial modeling, market sizing
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Technical or business degree preferred
- Familiarity with AI technologies for climate/sustainability applications
- Knowledge or network in ClimateTech is a plus
