Anduril Industries is seeking an Algorithm Engineer to join the Air & Missile Defense Radar team, which develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time. This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced tracking solutions for novel air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking, track fusion, and discrimination techniques. You will develop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets. The work spans the full spectrum—from developing novel multi-target tracking algorithms to building distributed systems that process massive amounts of sensor data in milliseconds. You'll build and leverage modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance, quantify system capabilities, and identify areas for improvement. Key responsibilities include collaborating directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems, optimizing tracking software for performance-critical environments where milliseconds matter, and communicating technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers. You'll also participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment and operational effectiveness. Required qualifications include 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent). You must have strong programming skills in C++ and Python, a solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations), and understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging.
