Anduril Industries is seeking an Algorithm Developer to join the Air & Missile Defense Radar team, which develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems for real-time detection, tracking, and characterization of airborne threats. This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced multi-target tracking algorithms, track fusion, and discrimination techniques for novel air and missile defense scenarios.
You will develop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets in millisecond-critical environments. The work spans algorithm design, software implementation, and system integration—from novel mathematical approaches to production-grade systems deployed with government and industry customers.
Key responsibilities include: designing advanced tracking algorithms for complex threat scenarios; developing optimized real-time software in C++ and Python; building and leveraging modeling and simulation environments to validate performance; collaborating with radar engineers and system architects on end-to-end integration; optimizing code for performance-critical, latency-sensitive applications; communicating technical concepts to cross-functional teams and customers; and participating in customer demonstrations and field tests.
This is a hands-on technical role where you'll apply mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, signal processing), software engineering fundamentals, and systems thinking to solve mission-critical problems. You'll work in small, focused teams deploying production systems that protect lives and critical assets, not just publishing research papers.
