The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle designed for cargo transport and eventual human missions. As an AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design, commissioning, and debugging of electrical systems for propulsion test benches and engine electrical systems.
Your responsibilities include designing and developing electrical systems architecture for test benches, including power distribution, signal conditioning, and control systems. You will lead assembly, integration, and testing of electrical components for turbomachinery and engines, define test procedures, document results, and trace non-conformities. You'll specify and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate sensors, actuators, power supplies, and data acquisition systems. Conduct system-level troubleshooting and debugging using advanced diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital multimeters. Perform root cause analysis and implement engineering solutions to improve system robustness and reliability. Provide technical leadership during assembly, commissioning, and test operations, and ensure all electrical systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field, plus 2+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in aerospace. Ideal candidates have strong understanding of electrical design principles, system integration, and instrumentation; experience with high voltage systems (200V–1000V AC/DC); hands-on experience with electrical hardware, wiring, and test equipment; proven experience designing and commissioning electrical systems; hands-on cabling and harness manufacturing experience; proficiency with electrical CAD tools (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical); and familiarity with industrial control, automation, or data-acquisition systems. Knowledge of electrical standards for high-reliability applications and test bench operations is a plus. Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required, along with a passion for space exploration and a mindset focused on innovation, precision, and safety.
