Dominion Dynamics is seeking an Aircraft Systems Integrator to own the critical interfaces between autonomous aircraft systems—power, actuation, sensing, communications, and software. This role bridges electrical, mechanical, and logical boundaries to ensure seamless system operation from architecture through flight test.
You will architect the overall aircraft systems architecture in close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, software, and flight controls teams. You'll define, manage, and document Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system interfaces, create detailed system schematics and architecture models, and produce comprehensive technical specifications.
Key responsibilities include selecting and managing technical relationships with hardware and system suppliers, leading the design and commissioning of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test rigs and integration benches, and integrating avionics, actuators, power distribution, communication links, and sensor payloads onto test benches and prototype airframes. You'll diagnose complex anomalies across electrical power, signal integrity, and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS-422/485), support manufacturing during assembly and initial powered-on checks, and provide real-time engineering support during ground runs, pre-flight checks, and flight testing.
You'll analyze post-flight system telemetry to resolve discrepancies and optimize system performance and reliability. This is hands-on, end-to-end work with fast feedback loops and real hardware in the room.
Required qualifications include a degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent), proven aircraft or vehicle systems integration experience across electrical, mechanical, and software boundaries, hands-on ICD definition and interface management, HIL rig and integration bench design experience, system-level troubleshooting expertise, and flight test or ground test support experience. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Canadian security clearance (Secret or higher).
Bonus experience includes uncrewed or autonomous platform integration, wiring harness design, power distribution architecture, flight telemetry and post-flight data analysis tooling, sensor payload integration, and arctic or austere-environment field test experience. No defence background is required.
