Flexport is establishing air freight operations in Manila and seeking an experienced Air Operations Manager to build and lead the gateway from the ground up. You will manage a team of operations specialists overseeing the complete air freight lifecycle—from booking and pickup through airline handover and final delivery. Your responsibilities include leading and developing team members, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international shipping requirements, maintaining data accuracy across systems to meet KPIs and SLAs, and building partnerships with airlines, terminals, and logistics providers. You'll act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, monitor vendor performance, collaborate with internal teams (planning, sales, customs, destination offices), oversee billing accuracy and cost control, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The role requires a strategic mindset balanced with hands-on execution ability, strong problem-solving skills, and a compliance-first attitude in a heavily regulated industry. You'll contribute to developing new systems, workflows, and operational best practices as Flexport scales its Philippines presence.
