You'll lead AI-first transformation starting with the operations department. This is a builder-architect role for someone operating like a technical founder—taking operational problems end-to-end, acting as PM, designing architecture, and building until solved. You'll operate across teams and legacy codebases, dragging the R&D organization into the AI-first era.
Key responsibilities include: owning operations problems end-to-end (understanding pain, defining solutions, scoping, architecting, building, shipping, iterating); driving AI transformation by introducing AI-first practices and proving value with shipped results; designing and deploying agentic systems including AI agents, human-in-the-loop workflows, operational UIs, CRM integrations, and n8n orchestration pipelines; crossing team boundaries freely without silos; translating vague business feedback into precise, well-architected solutions; and working directly with business and ops leadership to set priorities.
You report to the VP of R&D and work directly with business leadership. This is a 10X-accelerator role with no PM layer or sprint ceremonies—you own scoping, solution design, delivery, and adoption.
Required experience: AI agents in production (tool use, structured outputs, multi-step orchestration, evals, human-in-the-loop design); ops automation with n8n or similar workflow platforms, operational UIs, CRM integrations; AI-first development using Cursor/Claude Code or equivalent; full-stack capabilities (Node.js + React or equivalent, PostgreSQL or similar); API design, third-party integrations, cloud deployment (Azure/AWS/GCP); and security awareness.
You bring almost-founder mentality—you've built products or companies and still love to build. You combine PM, architect, and engineer in one person, writing requirements then executing them. You're a strong software architect building proper, extensible systems rather than duct-tape automations. You're AI-native with deep, current, hands-on LLM and agent experience. You're relentless, multi-domain comfortable, and a transformation driver who changes how teams work, not just ships features.
