Omnea is a Series B AI-native procurement platform backed by Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel. The company has 10x'd ARR to double-digit millions in 18 months and is trusted by global enterprises including Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons. The platform connects every person, step, and system in enterprise procurement to make buying fast, safe, and efficient.
As AI Solutions Lead, you will own end-to-end deployment of the Omnea platform for 3-5 enterprise customers concurrently. This is an early hire on Omnea's customer team, working directly with sales, customer, product, and engineering leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
**Discovery & Design:** Run discovery with customer stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Legal, and IT to translate their processes into Omnea configurations. Design target workflows including approval chains, routing logic, integrations, and edge cases. Own sequencing decisions on multi-integration deployments and determine system-of-truth relationships. Define success criteria and realistic go-live paths with project sponsors.
**AI-Directed Build:** Configure specialized AI agents that customers rely on daily (intake agents, risk agents, approval routers). Design how agents chain together—where one agent's output becomes another's input. Write precise specifications that hold up across agent chains. Validate all AI-generated outputs against customer process, policy, and edge cases before deployment. Handle judgment calls on ambiguous requirements, custom logic, and internal politics that AI cannot address.
**Deployment & Value Realization:** Present configured workflows to stakeholders from procurement analysts to CFOs, working through pushback and politics to win buy-in. Run multi-day onsite workshops coordinating dozens of stakeholders across multiple workstreams. Project-manage deployments including timelines, blockers, and stakeholder alignment. Track post-go-live adoption and maintain configurations as customer processes evolve. Partner with Product and Engineering during design phases to signal whether new modules will hold up for enterprise customers.
The role emphasizes specifying and validating over building from scratch. You'll develop skill in writing instructions AI can act on precisely. Judgment matters more, not less—AI speeds up the build, but you decide whether outputs are right for each customer's contract, board, and business context. You'll experiment as AI tooling evolves and share learnings with the team.
**Requirements:**
- 4-8 years in a fast-paced, high-bar environment (startup, scale-up, consulting, banking, or self-built venture)
- Comfortable directing AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) to produce first-draft work; confident in your own judgment to catch what's wrong
- Ability to write clear, specific instructions and evaluate outputs
- Client-facing experience or natural gravitas to excel at it; track record of exceeding client expectations
- Demonstrated excellence in work, academia, sport, or other domain
- Comfortable reasoning about system architecture (data models, primary keys, integration sequencing across enterprise systems); don't need to write integration code but must understand failure modes and reason with engineers
- Ability to build real relationships across all levels (junior analysts to CFOs); skilled at handling pushback and stakeholder politics
- Comfortable running cross-functional rooms with CPO, Legal, Finance, AP, InfoSec, Compliance and their technical resources with competing priorities
- Ability to move fluidly between detail work and big-picture thinking
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership; desire to build something meaningful
- Excellent communicator (clear, concise, verbal and written, even on complex topics)
- Highly organized; capable of managing 3-5 enterprise deployments concurrently at different stages
