7AI is a foundational AI security company founded in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders, emerging from stealth in February 2025. The company has raised $166 million from investors including Index Ventures and Blackstone. The platform pairs a federated SIEM with AI agents that detect, investigate, respond, and hunt threats, complemented by dedicated threat hunting and threat intelligence capabilities with humans on the loop.
As an AI Solution Advisor, you will advise enterprise CISOs and SOC leaders on modernizing their security operations with 7AI. You'll engage selectively across strategic accounts, setting strategic direction and measurable outcomes, shaping architecture and adoption plans, and collaborating with solutions engineering, security engineering, and sales teams to deliver customer value. This role is designed for a former security executive transitioning from being a CISO to advising CISOs.
Pre-sales responsibilities include engaging on strategic or complex deals to drive technical and executive wins; scoping solutions around customer paths (replacing MDR/MSSP, automating SOC, transforming operations, or displacing legacy SIEM/SOAR); defining target operating models, maturity baselines, first use cases, and roadmaps; diagnosing complex customer environments and identifying architectural, operational, and organizational gaps; spotting advisory opportunities like licensing optimization and tool consolidation; and leading executive security conversations and SOC transformation workshops.
Post-sales responsibilities include driving adoption, customer satisfaction, and referenceability; ensuring account teams execute well and stepping in when outcomes are at risk; building reusable playbooks and transformation models; mentoring solutions engineers; bringing customer insights back to Product, R&D, Services, and Sales to shape roadmap and enablement; and routing deep implementation work to appropriate engineering teams.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in cybersecurity, security operations, security architecture, or security consulting, including senior leadership
- Experience operating as a CISO, deputy CISO, SOC leader, security operations executive, or senior security architect with credibility to engage CISOs, CIOs, and practitioners
- Track record leading change management and helping security organizations adopt new operating models and workflows
- Deep command of SOC operating models and maturity, SIEM, SOAR, MDR, detection, investigation, response, and security automation
- Ability to assess complex enterprise environments and scope integrations, connectors, workflows, tuning, and customizations
- Experience leading consultative engagements with senior security stakeholders and translating business goals into measurable outcomes and phased plans
- Strong executive presence with clear writing and speaking ability; ability to simplify complex topics for executives without losing practitioners
- Consultative, evidence-driven style with strong listening, diagnostic, and trust-building skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage operating models; instinct to build reusable frameworks
- Willingness to stay hands-on from technical discovery and platform walkthroughs to workflow design and case discussions; ability to learn and demo platform credibly
Nice to have: Prior CISO or enterprise SOC leader experience (ideally 15+ years in cybersecurity and 6+ years leading large enterprise SOC); degree in cybersecurity or information systems; track record designing SOC transformation or security modernization programs; experience facilitating executive workshops and board-level discussions; exposure to MSSP delivery models; familiarity with AI-driven or agentic security operations; experience creating reusable security strategies and transformation IP; experience advising across multiple strategic accounts without becoming permanent account owner.
