Obsidian Security is a leading SaaS security platform protecting 200+ global enterprises including Fortune 1000 companies like Snowflake, T-Mobile, and Algolia. Founded in 2017 and backed by top-tier investors like Greylock, the company was built by security leaders from CrowdStrike, Okta, Cylance, and Carbon Black to close a critical gap in SaaS application security.
As an AI Security Engineer in Taiwan, you will be at the forefront of addressing the fastest-moving attack surface in enterprise security: AI and agentic platforms. Enterprise AI tools like ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and Claude are being deployed at scale with broad OAuth scopes, opaque data flows, and non-human identities that create new risks most security tools miss.
In this hands-on role at the intersection of security research, data engineering, and product development, you will:
- Develop deep expertise in how enterprise AI platforms authenticate, access data, request permissions, and interact with corporate SaaS applications
- Research emerging AI security threats including prompt injection, tool misuse, RAG poisoning, insecure plugins, excessive agency, data leakage, and compromised identities
- Develop threat models and design data models representing AI assets, identities, access relationships, permissions, activities, and attack paths
- Prototype and deliver production-grade AI security products and backend services for asset discovery, security analysis, risk assessment, detection, and remediation
- Build scalable pipelines that ingest, normalize, enrich, and analyze high-volume security telemetry
- Write detection rules and behavioral models for suspicious AI and agentic activity
- Evaluate APIs, audit logs, authentication mechanisms, and security controls provided by AI platforms
- Collaborate with Product Management, Security Research, Detection Engineering, and SRE teams across Taiwan, the US, UK, and Australia
- Contribute to technical designs, code reviews, and engineering standards while improving pipeline performance and cloud cost efficiency
You will work directly with security telemetry and production systems, combining security judgment, data analysis, and engineering execution to solve ambiguous security problems and turn them into practical product capabilities.
