Fuse Energy is a well-funded energy startup ($200M+ raised from top-tier investors including Balderton, Accel, Lakestar, and others) building an integrated energy system combining solar, batteries, grid infrastructure, real-time power trading, and distributed energy solutions for homes. The company uses AI across its operations and sells directly to consumers to reduce costs.
As AI Product Owner, you will own the product roadmap for Fuse's AI initiatives end-to-end. This is not a traditional product role—you'll work closely with AI Engineers shipping real, customer-facing systems across the business. Your responsibilities include:
• Own the complete product roadmap for AI initiatives, from identifying high-impact problems through scoping, prioritization, and shipping solutions
• Partner day-to-day with AI Engineers on live projects spanning customer operations, data labeling and collection, and internal tooling
• Translate ambiguous problems from trading, customer operations, and internal tooling into clear, scoped projects with defined success metrics
• Build and manage the backlog for AI engineering, balancing speed, data/model quality, and business impact
• Define how AI systems are evaluated in production and drive feedback loops that continuously improve them post-launch
You'll be the bridge between engineering and the rest of the business, sitting close to engineers and turning high-impact problems into executable projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from a top university in STEM
• Experience as a product owner, product manager, or technical program manager on engineering-heavy products, ideally AI/ML or data-heavy
• Deep curiosity about AI and a track record of using it in real-world settings
• Comfortable working directly with engineers, translating between technical and business teams without losing precision on either side
• Relentless approach to solving problems and comfortable operating with ambiguity
