Niural is an AI-native platform for global payroll, benefits, payments, and compliance serving 150+ countries. The company combines regulated infrastructure, proprietary tax and compliance systems, global money movement, and EMMA (an executional AI coworker) to automate high-stakes business operations.
As an AI Product Operator, you'll work alongside the Product team to build internal tools and AI systems that eliminate manual work across Niural. This is a hands-on, in-office role at NYC headquarters where you'll code, architect AI workflows, and ship internal tools using AI-native development tools like Claude Code at a pace that would normally require a much larger team.
Key responsibilities include:
**Build Internal Tools**: Develop and deploy full-stack internal applications (web apps, dashboards, admin panels) for Operations, Data Research, Accounting, Sales, and Marketing using React, Next.js, Python/FastAPI, or similar. Own the full lifecycle from build through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
**Engineer AI Workflows & Agents**: Design multi-step AI workflows using LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI), agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, n8n AI agents), and RAG pipelines. Build AI systems for data extraction, document processing, classification, compliance research, and payroll validation with proper prompt engineering, output validation, and error handling.
**Integrate Systems & Automate Pipelines**: Connect internal systems (HRIS, payroll engines, CRMs, databases, Slack, email, spreadsheets) to eliminate manual data transfer. Build data pipelines for reporting, reconciliation, and exception handling. Automate contractor onboarding, invoice processing, payment workflows, and compliance data collection across multiple countries.
**Ship with AI-Native Development**: Use Claude Code and other AI-assisted coding tools daily to move fast. Prototype rapidly, validate with real users, and iterate while keeping codebases clean and documented.
**Support Sales & Marketing Systems**: Build lead enrichment, CRM hygiene, and outbound personalization workflows. Create content generation and repurposing pipelines. Give Sales faster access to prospect and market data.
Required qualifications: 2+ years software engineering experience with strong Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript skills. Hands-on experience building and deploying web applications (React, Next.js, Node.js, FastAPI). Deep experience with LLM APIs including prompt engineering, function calling, and structured outputs. Experience building multi-step AI workflows or agent-based systems. Working knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector), and document processing. Comfort with SQL/PostgreSQL and API integrations. Experience deploying production applications (Docker, AWS/GCP/Vercel). Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot). Strong bias toward shipping working prototypes quickly.
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Retool), background in payroll/HR tech/EOR/AOR/fintech/compliance, experience with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI), understanding of global payroll compliance and tax regulations.
