Tessera Labs is building multi-agent AI systems that automate complex business workflows across enterprise platforms like SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, and Databricks. The AI Platform team owns the foundational infrastructure that enables Tessera's AI agents to run reliably, securely, and consistently across customer environments.
As an AI Platform Engineer, you will design and own production-grade AI agent infrastructure supporting Tessera's systems across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle Cloud). This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role with significant architectural ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade AI agent infrastructure across cloud providers
- Own the Azure or Oracle Cloud variant of Tessera's cloud infrastructure; support GCP and AWS
- Enable portable infrastructure across diverse customer environments
- Deploy and operate applications using Kubernetes and Terraform
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines with end-to-end automation for infrastructure and application code
- Build reusable automation frameworks for DevOps workflows (environment provisioning, secret rotation, dependency updates, compliance checks, release management)
- Automate operational runbooks and eliminate manual work through scripts, pipeline stages, and self-service tooling
- Champion an automation-first mindset: if done twice, automate it; if automated, maintain it like production code
- Improve observability, security, and system reliability
- Partner with product and platform engineers to unblock delivery
Required qualifications: 5+ years as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer; strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud provider (Azure, Oracle, GCP, AWS); proven track record designing and owning CI/CD systems and pipeline architecture; experience building automation frameworks for DevOps workflows (Bash, Python scripting); strong networking fundamentals; proven experience deploying and operating real production systems.
Nice-to-have: FluxCD or GitOps controllers (ArgoCD); cloud security and DevSecOps expertise; deep networking expertise; software development and SDLC experience; builder mindset.
You are self-motivated with strong ownership instincts, comfortable defending complex infrastructure decisions, experienced in startup or big tech environments, and passionate about learning and building robust, reliable systems that other engineers depend on.
