Flagler Health is building a clinical operating system for modern musculoskeletal care, partnering with MSK provider groups to improve operations, efficiency, and patient outcomes. The company recently closed Series B and is scaling rapidly.
As AI Operations Associate, you will design, build, and scale the AI and automation layer powering Flagler's back-office and clinical operations. Reporting directly to the Co-Founder & CEO, you'll operate as a player-coach—shipping automations while building the systems, standards, and team to scale them across the organization.
Key responsibilities include owning the automation roadmap and delivering measurable operational leverage; shadowing clinical and back-office teams to identify high-ROI automation opportunities and building repeatable processes for capturing, shipping, and monitoring automations in production; leading data integrations across major EHRs with ownership of error handling and pipeline reliability; matching the automation stack to workflows using APIs, portal integrations, and browser/desktop automation; standing up and maintaining internal AI tooling (LLMs, agent frameworks, knowledge assistants) and training teammates; managing automation vendors to delivery and quality standards; partnering with Engineering on integration patterns and data contracts; enforcing documentation, monitoring, and change-management practices; and acting as a conduit between operators, clinicians, and internal teams to inform product and roadmap decisions.
You'll need 1–3 years in management consulting, software engineering, product management, or similar analytical/technical roles, ideally in high-growth or ambiguous environments. Strong problem-solving instincts with bias toward action; genuine fluency with modern AI tooling (LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering); hands-on technical aptitude with APIs, light scripting (Python, JavaScript), and ability to pick up new tools quickly; strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration skills; and a Bachelor's degree required. Healthcare or regulated-industry exposure is a plus but not required. You should be execution-oriented, resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating through ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment.
