You will join as an AI/Machine Learning Engineer responsible for setting the technical direction for agentic AI on the Aera Platform. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with proven production experience shipping autonomous agents. You will own architectural decisions that the broader engineering team builds upon, with accountability for recommendations that impact real supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and architecting agentic AI systems for production deployment
- Building evaluation frameworks and guardrails to ensure agent reliability and trustworthiness
- Learning from production failures and iterating on agent behavior and safety
- Setting technical direction and best practices for the AI/ML engineering team
- Collaborating with product and domain experts to translate business requirements into robust AI systems
- Owning the quality and performance of AI-driven decision recommendations
You bring:
- Hands-on experience shipping autonomous agents or multi-step AI systems to production
- Deep understanding of agent failure modes and how to mitigate them
- Experience building evaluation metrics, monitoring, and guardrails for AI systems
- Strong systems thinking and ability to make architectural trade-offs
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for building trustworthy AI systems that drive real business value
This role is based in Aera's Pune office.
