Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
You will lead Samsara's Go-To-Market Systems team's AI engineering efforts, managing a team of 4–7 senior engineers building AI orchestration engines, Salesforce/CRM/PRM integrations, and agentic workflows that power the global sales organization. This is a hands-on role: you'll write code, conduct design reviews, shape architecture, and own people processes including hiring, career development, and performance management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team of senior engineers across the GTM AI systems stack, setting high standards for technical excellence and delivery
- Staying hands-on with system architecture, code reviews, design reviews, and critical technical decisions
- Owning the engineering roadmap for GTM AI systems in partnership with Sales Ops, BizTech, Finance, and GTM leadership
- Driving delivery of AI-first systems: agentic AI pipelines, LLM orchestration, Salesforce CPQ integrations, real-time Slack applications, and AWS event-driven architectures
- Championing engineering quality through code review standards, testing, observability, incident response, and documentation
- Creating a culture of responsible AI development with safe data handling, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop controls
- Managing team health through 1:1s, feedback, conflict resolution, and advocacy
- Eliminating friction in GTM workflows by automating manual processes
- Serving as technical authority in cross-functional conversations with VP and C-level stakeholders
You'll report to the Sr. Director, Sales Technology Engineering. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of hands-on technical leadership and people management, believes great managers stay technically credible, has shipped production AI systems at enterprise scale, and is energized by translating fuzzy business needs into concrete engineering roadmaps.
