Anthropic is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the GTM Claudification team, building autonomous agents and AI systems that power the company's go-to-market operations. In this role, you will architect and deploy agents that run complete autonomous motions across inbound, outbound, and pipeline management, working directly with sellers and RevOps teams to ground designs in real workflows.
Key responsibilities include: building and operating production autonomous agents for go-to-market motions; designing human oversight mechanisms including approval gates, handoffs, and escalation paths; developing and running evaluation frameworks for agent behavior in development and production; instrumenting model and tool calls to measure impact on pipeline and revenue; shipping MCP servers, agent skills, and web applications that integrate with CRM, communication, and data warehouse systems; setting technical direction for agent development and evaluation across the team; architecting shared codebases and conventions for go-to-market builders; and maintaining expertise in LLM capabilities, agent frameworks, and evaluation techniques.
You will combine full-stack engineering (MCP servers, agentic systems, web applications) with hands-on evaluation work (behavior benchmarks, production monitoring, ROI measurement). This is a senior individual contributor role where you drive technical direction and help shape best practices for a growing AI engineering function at a pivotal moment in the company's growth.
Required qualifications: strong programming in Python or TypeScript with production application experience; production experience with LLMs including context engineering, agent development, MCP development, tool use, and evaluation frameworks; experience using evals and transcript analysis to identify and fix problems in LLM systems; working fluency with SQL and data; ability to navigate ambiguity and ship without specifications; passion for safe, beneficial AI.
Preferred: 8+ years as software engineer, ML engineer, or forward-deployed engineer (technical founders encouraged); experience with Claude Code and Claude Agent SDK; familiarity with go-to-market systems (CRM, sales engagement, enrichment, conversation intelligence) or revenue team collaboration; experience growing codebases with many contributors; applied ML and experimentation background (A/B testing, propensity models, recommendations, causal analysis); exceptional communication skills for technical concepts to non-technical partners.
