Aviso Wealth is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Data & Analytics Partners team, reporting to the Sr. Director of Data Science and AI Enablement. This role focuses on designing, building, and scaling practical GenAI and agentic AI solutions that address meaningful business problems across Aviso's wealth management ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include translating business opportunities into secure, usable, and measurable AI experiences such as conversational AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), intelligent knowledge experiences, and tool-integrated agentic workflows. You will work primarily with Databricks and AWS, with support for Azure environments as needed, taking solutions from discovery and proof-of-value through controlled production delivery.
Day-to-day activities involve partnering with business and domain teams to translate priorities into clear GenAI and agentic solution designs, user journeys, and delivery plans. You will design and build conversational AI and RAG systems, develop trusted retrieval and grounding patterns using enterprise content and data, and build secure integrations between AI solutions, business applications, enterprise data, APIs, and tools. The role includes implementing human-in-the-loop review, escalation, and approval patterns where appropriate.
You will continuously improve prompts, context strategies, tool selection, workflow logic, and user experiences to increase solution quality and reliability. You'll define and apply evaluation, testing, and feedback approaches to measure solution quality, safety, business value, and user outcomes. Collaboration with the AI Platform & ML Engineering team ensures solutions move through approved production pathways using established deployment, observability, security, and governance standards.
The ideal candidate will assess emerging GenAI and agentic AI capabilities and translate relevant trends into practical recommendations and reusable solution patterns. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong software engineering fundamentals and deep expertise in generative AI application development.
