Salary: EUR 44,000 - 54,000 / annual
HarfangLab is a French cybersecurity scale-up founded in 2018, specializing in EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), EPP (Endpoint Protection Platform), and ASM (Attack Surface Management) solutions. The company has raised €30 million and grown from 40 to 130 employees, protecting endpoints for over 800 clients including CAC 40 companies, government entities, hospitals, and local authorities. HarfangLab was the first EDR certified by ANSSI in 2020 and obtained ANSSI qualification in 2025, and is part of the French Tech 2030 program.
You will join the 7-person Artificial Intelligence team, which has developed an LLM-based system to help cybersecurity analysts identify and respond to threats. The team is now enhancing this system with new autonomous attack investigation capabilities.
Key responsibilities include: building investigation agent pipelines (planning, tool calling, synthesis); designing and maintaining evaluation frameworks to measure system performance and track metrics; evaluating foundation models (open-source and proprietary) against use cases, documenting cost/latency/quality trade-offs; industrializing developments through testing, packaging, documentation, and CI/CD best practices; integrating solutions into the product, deploying to production, and monitoring performance. Depending on interests and background, you may also work on machine learning, deep learning, or data engineering projects.
Required skills: Python proficiency; solid understanding of LLM fundamentals (data gathering, prompting, fine-tuning, inference, attention mechanisms, tokenization); hands-on experience with LLMs via APIs or local deployments, including RAG systems, tool-calling workflows, agents, or chatbots. Nice-to-have skills include basic cybersecurity knowledge, experience with agent frameworks (LangGraph, PydanticAI, Haystack AI), and familiarity with ML/DL frameworks (Scikit-learn, PyTorch).

Office located in central Paris (75002, near Bourse). Compensation: €44-54K + profit sharing.
