As an AI Engineer, you will build and deliver AI-driven features to production with confidence in their performance. You'll work across the full software stack, from architecture through release, applying sound engineering principles to create observable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to full-stack implementation of AI-driven user journeys and features
- Building product features and agents using frontier models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) with prompting, context, tools, and model reasoning
- Applying agentic software engineering techniques throughout the development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, testing, maintenance)
- Validating solutions using traditional QA, evals, and tracing to ensure measurable quality
- Participating in product refinement with designers and PMs to ideate, explore, and prototype solutions
- Collaborating with engineering teams on project scoping and prioritization
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional programming experience in web applications and backend environments
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python
- Knowledge of modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, Rails) and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Node.js)
- Hands-on experience building AI and agent-powered features using frontier models
- Regular use of coding agent harnesses (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) in daily workflow
- Experience refining feature requirements with product stakeholders
Desirable experience includes content generation with AI models, multimodal and audio AI, realtime communication apps, speech-to-speech models, and writing evals for agents.
