We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our Porto team to help build the next generation of AI-native productivity, specifically focusing on an agent platform where multiple AI agents collaborate to solve complex user problems. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role on a foundational team that moves fast from idea to production.
In this role, you will:
- Shape the future of productivity by evolving the platform from a writing assistant into an AI-native productivity suite for enterprises
- Build a groundbreaking AI agent platform, spearheading development of systems where multiple AI agents collaborate to solve complex user problems
- Own critical ML systems, developing and deploying sophisticated ML models for core product experiences including search ranking and proactive suggestions
- Integrate cutting-edge AI by working at the forefront of the AI landscape, building ML components that integrate with the latest and most powerful models
- Operate with high autonomy and product sense in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Move quickly from idea to impact with minimal red tape or endless approvals

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of industry experience as a machine learning engineer or applied research scientist
- Deep understanding of modern algorithms and approaches to ML, NLP, and LLMs
- Experience building LLM-based products
- Deep care about end-user experience and commitment to ensuring high quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manage tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyze and execute work efficiently, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments
- MS/PhD in Computer Science is a nice-to-have
