Coder is seeking an AI Enablement Engineer to drive adoption and best practices for their Smart AI platform across the organization. In this hands-on technical role, you'll serve as a primary resource for employees building with AI, helping them navigate tools, troubleshoot blockers, and develop stronger AI working habits.
Your responsibilities include:
- Partnering directly with employees across the company to understand their AI development needs, workflows, and technical barriers
- Answering questions about Smart AI tools, models, prompts, and recommended patterns via Slack, meetings, and working sessions
- Identifying recurring patterns in user feedback and translating them into clear roadmap requirements
- Building and refining reusable journeys, skills, templates, and paved paths that accelerate internal AI development
- Contributing to infrastructure enhancements that improve reliability and consistency of internal AI workflows
- Prototyping solutions using Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools
- Improving the dedicated development environment, including integrations, APIs, and model access
- Hosting office hours, workshops, and enablement sessions to build employee confidence
- Creating documentation, examples, and guidance as new capabilities are introduced
- Partnering closely with the Smart AI Program lead to connect employee feedback with roadmap priorities
You bring 3+ years of technology experience, ideally in a startup environment, with a strong engineering background or hands-on experience building with modern AI tools. You're empathetic, curious, and skilled at identifying user roadblocks and creating practical solutions. You have PM-like pattern recognition abilities, can communicate across technical levels, and move fluidly between requirement gathering and implementation. Your tinkering mindset drives you to improve, automate, and simplify systems. Bonus experience includes familiarity with remote development environments (Coder, Gitpod, DevPod, GitHub Codespaces), business analysis, developer relations, internal developer platforms, Model Context Protocol, or technical enablement programs.
