As an AI-Enabled Governance Associate, you will strengthen governance processes across third-party management, partner oversight, and operational controls in a regulated environment. The role begins with a strong focus on third-party governance—including external providers, partners, and intra-group relationships—with scope expanding over time toward governance excellence, KPI/SLA monitoring, control effectiveness, and AI-supported process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and improving governance processes related to third parties, partners, and operational oversight in a regulated environment
- Identifying repetitive manual work and fragmented workflows, then improving them through better process design, standardization, AI-supported execution, and selective automation
- Using AI tools practically to support analysis, information structuring, questionnaire handling, documentation drafting, summarization, reporting, and follow-up preparation
- Working with internal subject-matter experts to understand, improve, and scale KPI, SLA, and monitoring approaches across internal and third-party services
- Optimizing KPI monitoring, service reporting, and governance transparency to make operational performance more measurable and actionable
- Contributing to making recurring governance work more scalable, consistent, and less manual
- Supporting governance routines such as reviews, reporting, meeting preparation, action tracking, and evidence collection
- Supporting assessments, reviews, and due diligence processes for new and existing providers or partners
- Supporting governance documentation, registers, supporting evidence, and process transparency for internal stakeholders, auditors, regulators, and partners
The company offers flexible working hours with core collaboration hours 12:00–16:00, hybrid work from anywhere in Germany (with 4+ days per month on-site in Berlin), mentorship and career development, an annual learning budget, Deutschlandticket sponsorship, and workation opportunities (up to 10 consecutive days, 60 days per year within the EU).
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with ability to structure information, spot gaps, and turn observations into practical next steps
- Structured, reliable, detail-oriented work style with strong follow-up discipline
- Pragmatic, hands-on mindset; preference for improving recurring processes over designing concepts only
- Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work and curiosity about their application to operational and governance processes
- Motivation to reduce manual work through better workflows, smarter tooling, and selective automation
- Technical affinity sufficient to understand IT services, service levels, incidents, monitoring concepts, and operational dependencies (engineering background not required)
- Clear English communication and ability to work with stakeholders across business, technology, and control functions
- German language is a plus
- Excitement to learn how governance, controls, third-party processes, and operational oversight work in practice and can be optimized
