Phaidra is building AI-powered control systems for industrial automation, using reinforcement learning to enable facilities to automatically learn and improve performance over time. The company focuses on replacing hard-coded, static control systems with adaptive AI agents that convert sensor data into high-value decisions, allowing domain experts to configure systems without coding.
As an AI Controls Solutions Engineer, you will operationalize and scale Phaidra's solutions for enterprise data center customers, working at the intersection of AI, controls engineering, and customer success. You'll partner closely with Technical Program Managers and Data Scientists to deploy AI into production environments.
Key responsibilities include: (1) Creating facility models for ingestion by Phaidra's product suite, configuring products to customer specifications, and commissioning/tuning systems in production; (2) Translating customer requirements into product specifications and working with the product team to define scalable requirements that enable growth across thousands of customers; (3) Leading deployment and support of multiple solutions in parallel, resolving support tickets, monitoring performance, troubleshooting control systems, and managing risk through deep knowledge of Phaidra's pipelines; (4) Serving as a subject matter expert internally and externally, delivering platinum support, advising research initiatives, and supporting sales and marketing efforts.
You bring 5-10 years of experience as a controls engineer, programmer, or equivalent, with deep expertise in HVAC and data center cooling control methodologies, chiller plant fundamentals, and control sequences. The role is 100% remote (US/Canada based) with approximately 25% travel to customer sites.
