This role sits within Aidoc's core AI group, which specializes in cutting-edge AI solutions for healthcare, medical imaging, and diagnostics. As an AI Algorithm Tech Lead, you will manage end-to-end AI research and development efforts while maintaining hands-on involvement in key initiatives. You will design, implement, and mentor team members, representing AI considerations in cross-functional discussions and leading multiple concurrent projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design, development, and implementation of accurate, robust AI algorithms for medical data with a hands-on approach
- Collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and clinical data experts to ensure AI considerations drive R&D and product decisions
- Designing and conducting research and experimentation to improve algorithm performance and accuracy
- Staying current with advancements in AI and machine learning, particularly in the medical domain, and driving adoption within the team
- Overseeing multiple projects to ensure successful execution, timely delivery, and alignment with product and business objectives
- Providing strategic direction and technical mentoring to elevate AI team capabilities
Required qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field; 7+ years designing and implementing AI/DL algorithms (healthcare/medical imaging experience preferred); proven track record leading AI projects to commercial success; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks; excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Desirable: experience in both computer vision and NLP; prior healthcare industry background.
