Salary: USD 120,000 - 190,000 / annual
Liberate builds AI agents to automate manual tasks across the $2.7T insurance industry, starting with voice automation and expanding into full workflow automation for sales, servicing, and claims. As an AI Agent Engineer, you will bridge cutting-edge AI products with customer technical needs, ensuring successful deployment and integration. You'll work across customer success, sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver AI-driven solutions that drive measurable business value.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with sales to understand customer requirements and design tailored AI solutions; serving as the technical expert during post-sales processes with product demos and technical presentations; assessing customer systems and workflows to identify integration points; developing customized configurations and prototypes; providing implementation guidance and troubleshooting; acting as a liaison between customers and product development; delivering post-sales support; and creating technical documentation including integration guides and best practices.
You'll need 3+ years in solutions engineering or technical consulting (preferably AI/tech), a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, strong programming skills (Python, Java, or similar), experience with APIs, data integration, and cloud platforms, and excellent communication abilities to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences. Nice-to-haves include familiarity with AI/ML technologies, insurance tech or financial services experience, startup environment background, and cloud certifications (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
The role is hybrid (2 days/week in-office) with locations in Boston or San Francisco (Berkeley). This is an early-stage enterprise startup environment requiring extreme ownership, urgency, and customer obsession.
